According to the complainant, the said PHV driver had abruptly cut into his lane along Yio Chu Kang Road to turn into the CTE (Central) expressway. As such, the member horned at the BMW driver. but the BMW driver subsequently flashed his middle finger, and became aggressive when driving along the expressway.

Both vehicles then stopped at the shoulder of the expressway and started a heated dispute with lots of vulgarity exchanges.

The complainant also added that the said PHV driver was smoking in his vehicle and even threw out the cigarette onto the road while driving.

Below is the original text extract of the complaint submitted to us:

On 15/01/23 at about 11:15 am. I was travelling along Yio Chu Kang road towards the direction of CTE. When suddenly Vehicle No. SMJ95U Vehicle Make/Model B.M.W. / 218I ACTIVE TOURER D/AB LED DSC ABS cut into my lane to turn into the highway. I horned the driver to avoid the collusion and in turn this BMW driver flashed his middle finger while turning aggressively into my lane and exited the highway.

Along the highway, I noticed that the driver had a PHV sticker behind his windscreen and was smoking inside the vehicle. Along the highway he threw the lit cigarette butt on the roads and was captured on camera. Almost nearing the exit of Braddell road, I was at the side of this driver and he flashed his middle finger again while cursing and swearing and challenged me to park at the side of the road.

Once again this reckless and aggressive PHV driver cut into my lane and came out of his vehicle and confronted me to a fight. All this were captured on video and I would like the authorities to act on this road bully to safeguard the public from such aggressive and bullying behavior on the roads. This type of actions and behavior is clearly a disregard for the safety of others and road users.

The complainant also took the effort to list out the various offences and penalty, that the said PHV driver had committed:
